This Is What Summer Learning Is All About!

What could be nicer in such fabulous summer weather than a walk through a flower meadow to a chalk stream where children float Viking boats downstream? That's what Reynolds Academy pupils have been doing on a visit to the A. W. Robinson Classroom In The Woods at Ashby cum Fenby.
On a stunning summer afternoon, the Year 3 pupils visited the outdoor classroom, which is designed to enrich the curriculum by encouraging learning in a natural environment. The classroom was developed with the help of the Natural England Educational Access scheme and enables children to explore the countryside in a controlled manner as part of their education.
Caitlin Walters said: "It was really fun being outside in the fields and making boats."
Proud of their Viking boats. Reynolds Academy pupils Caitlin Walters and Poppy Probert.
